3d Assignment

We have been asked make 3d creations in illustrator. Joe showed us how to revolve, design symbol as well as extrude & Bevel. Were to use all of the things we have learned so far and develop three scenes.

My first idea is a set of Russian Nesting dolls, the second is a marionette and the third is either a robot or Jack in the box I haven't decided fully yet. The 3d tool in Illustrator can only make simple shapes so Ive chosen toys consisting of simple shapes as my inspiration. I have started on the Russian dolls and this is what I have done so far...

Eeeber is back and BETTER!

I just wasnt happy with Eeeber and felt he needed a facelift. So I played around with my new gradient tool and gave him a makeover. We got an extension on the project so it was really nice to be able to work on him some more. I hope the colors work well....I spent waaaaaay too long changing them, I HAD to stop it was starting to get O.C.D'ish.

We were asked to dupilcate a NHL Logo, This one looked pretty awesome so I chose it.

Brainstorming

Here we were asked to get together with friends and expand on a brainstorming tree started in class. Funny how hard we try to not think of the disgusting and perverse, and in the end...it cannot be helped. I kept this one clean.

Recreating the Style of James Paterson

Instead of writing an essay on an artist we we asked to recreate the artists style. I had never seen the work of James Paterson and found it very different from my own style. Was interesting to do something out of my comfort zone. Very confusing work, hope I got the jist of it.
